CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - After losing the first three games of the series against Carolina, Chattanooga fought back to win the final three. Sunday afternoon's match-up involved a balanced attack by the Lookouts in a 10-1 finish over the Mudcats at AT&T Field.

The Lookouts jumped off to a great start by scoring four runs in the first frame. Michael DeJesus began the rally with a single. Tonys Gutierrez followed with a force out and advanced to second on an Eric Eymann single. Thomas Collaro brought home Gutierrez on a double to left. With runners in scoring position, Danny Dorn blasted a homer over the right field wall, giving the Lookouts a 4-0 edge.

Chattanooga expanded their lead to 5-0 in the second on an Eric Eymann RBI single to right, bringing home Craig Tatum.

The runs kept rolling in the fifth for the Lookouts, as two more runs crossed the plate. A leadoff triple by Eymann began the rally. Collaro followed with a walk and advanced to second on a wild pitch by Brett Sinkbeil. Cody Strait came through in the clutch by slugging a single, plating both runners.

Another run was added to the Lookouts' lead in the seventh. Collaro led off with a single and reached third on a Dorn double. Collaro would eventually find his way home on a Cody Strait sacrifice fly to center. The Lookouts now held a convincing 8-0 lead.

A trio of singles from Sean Henry, Michael DeJesus, and Tonys Gutierrez led to two more runs for the Lookouts in the ninth.

With the potential of a shutout glaring at the Mudcats in the ninth, Carolina finally entered the board on an Alberto Concepcion RBI single to left.

Sam LeCure (6-4) earned the win for the Lookouts. In six shutout innings, he yielded just two hits, while striking out four.

Brett Sinkbeil (3-7) took the loss for the Mudcats. In five innings of work, he surrendered nine hits, three walks, and seven runs.

After a day off, Chattanooga will hit the road on Tuesday to begin a six-game series against the Jacksonville Suns.
