
Lookouts Slide Past Suns 5-3 in Extras

JACKSONVILLE, FL - After rallying for two runs in the ninth to force extra innings, the Jacksonville Suns (9-7, 45-41) fell to the Chattanooga Lookouts (6-11, 32-55) 5-3 in 10 innings on Sunday from Bragan Field.

Robert Morey took a no decision after allowing one run (earned) on three hits in his 4.0 innings of work, while walking three batters and striking out one Lookout in his first appearance as a Jacksonville Sun since April 21st, missing time with right biceps tendinitis.
Casey McCarthy held the Lookouts without a run in his two innings of work on Sunday, allowing just one hit and one walk to Chattanooga hitters.
James Leverton by allowing two runs (both earned) on three hits, while walking and striking out a pair of Lookouts each.
Jheyson Manzueta (L, 4-2) took the loss after giving up two runs (both earned) on three hits, while walking two batters and finishing with one strikeout.
Chris Reed left in line for the win for Chattanooga but was dealt a no decision after surrendering one run (earned) on just two hits, while walking two batters and striking out four in six innings of work.
After Blake Smith (BS, 4) blew the save, Jhan Marinez (W, 2-0) earned the win by getting the final out of the bottom of the ninth inning to push the game into extra innings. Robert Carson (SV, 2) picked up the save by working a 1-2-3 bottom of the 10th inning to close out Sunday's game.
The Lookouts opened up the scoring on Sunday with a run in the top of the first inning, using Scott Schebler's RBI groundout to put Chattanooga up 1-0 early.
Following Isaac Galloway's leadoff triple to start the bottom of the third inning, Alfredo Lopez brought him in with a RBI single to level the score at 1-1 after three innings of play.
The game remained tied until Jeremy Hazelbaker blooped a two-out, two-run double down the left field line to give the Lookouts a 3-1 lead in the top of the seventh inning.
The Suns were able to tie it up at 3-3 by plating a pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth. After reaching with a one-out double, Austin Barnes came around to score on Faustino Oguisten's fielding error on a ball hit off the bat of Joe Benson to make it a 3-2 Lookouts lead and then Jacksonville pulled even on Terrence Dayleg's RBI single into left field.
Chattanooga responded by taking the lead for good in the top of the 10th, with both runs scoring on O'Koyea Dickson's two-run single through the left side of the infield to put the Lookouts up 5-3.
The Suns and Lookouts will be back at it on Monday, with first pitch set for 12:05 p.m. ET. The Suns will send out left-hander Justin Nicolino (7-2, 3.16) while the Lookouts will counter with right-hander Andres Santiago (2-4, 5.30).
