Long in San Francisco for NFL workout

Omaha, Nebraska – Omaha Beef Football today announces that Chace Long (K) traveled to San Francisco for a workout with the Forty-Niners tomorrow.

Long has put up impressive numbers in the 3 years he has been a kicking in the National Indoor Football League. Long holds the record for the longest kick in NIFL history with a 60-yard field goal while playing with the Lincoln Capitols in a game at Omaha Beef on April 20, 2002.

Long holds the 2004 league record for most points scored kicking in a single game with 20 vs. Lincoln Capitols on April 24 [6fg, 2pat], 20 vs. Wyoming Cavalry on June 12 [5fg, 5pat] and 18 at Lincoln Capitols on June 4, [4fg, 6pat]. He also holds the NIFL league record for individual game Field Goal Percentage of 75% vs. Lincoln Capitols on April 24 (6-8).

One of the most impressive kickers in indoor league history, Long hails from Wahoo, Nebraska. He was an All-State award winner in each of his four years playing for the fighting Warriors. Chace also was 4-year member of the Big12 Commissioners Academic Honor Roll while attending the University of Nebraska.

Long has also been named Pacific North All-Star Kicker for the 2004 season.
