Maywood Laguneros News Release

LONG BEACH, Calif. (Jan. 4, 2005) - The journey back to the NBA for five-time world champion Dennis Rodman goes through Long Beach. A two-game ticket package to see The Worm play with the American Basketball Association (ABA) Long Beach Jam goes on sale today.

The package includes four tickets to the Sunday, Jan. 23, 2 p.m. game against the Utah Snowbears and four tickets to the Friday, Jan. 28, 7:30 p.m. game against the Tijuana Diablos. Both games will be at the Pyramid in Long Beach. The package, valued at $120, will sell for $91. Priority seating will be assigned to all ticket package purchases.

For both games, the first 1,000 fans in attendance receive a free Upper Deck Rodman trading card.

Rodman was a member of last season's ABA Championship squad, averaging 12 rebounds per contest in three games with the Jam, including 14 in the title game against the Kansas City Knights. The seven-time NBA rebounding champion made his anticipated debut with the Jam on Jan. 16, 2004, in front of a standing-room only crowd of 4,373 at the Pyramid. With his hair dyed the Jam's colors, Rodman entered the game midway through the first quarter to a standing ovation. Despite being absent from professional basketball since 2000, he muscled his way to 14 rebounds in a 130-110 demolition of the Fresno HeatWave.

To purchase the ticket package, call (562) 799-8100. Individual game tickets are also on sale at the Pyramid Box Office at (562) 985-4949.
