Lone Stars home shaping up
Lubbock- Things are coming together for the Lubbock Lone Stars. Tuesday the City of Lubbock installed the dasher boards at the Coliseum. The turf which is coming in from Canada should be installed along with the padding by Monday of next week.
More players are arriving everyday with almost the entire invitee roster now in camp. As of Tuesday only 4 players have yet to make their way to the Hub City.
Tuesday Coach Buck worked out the kickers for the first time. Brandon Stroud and Robert Treece from Tech, and Nate Tandberg all kicked a couple of dozen field goals over at Jones SBC. Coach Buck said the hour long workout before practice went very well and he was very impressed by each kicker. All three remain on the roster, with a final decision on whos in and whos to come next week when each can kick indoor on the turf.
Practice times for the remainder of the week will be 6-8 each night at Chapman Field. Players and coaches will be available for interviews before or after practice.
