Loggers Overpowered by Stingers; Lose, 20-3

LA CROSSE, WI - The La Crosse Loggers were defeated handily last night by the Willmar Stingers.

In an offensive barrage, each of the Stingers 10 batters had at least one hit. Leading the way was Will Hodo (Alabama), who went 4-for-6 with 2 RBIs. Jordan Sagedahl (South Dakota State) and Kole Krier (St. Cloud State) also contributed by each blasting home runs. Sagedahl led the game in RBIs with 6.

Sam Siegal (Augustana) was tasked with eating up innings for the Lumberman. The South Dakota native tossed 4.0 innings while allowing 3 earned runs. Jake Gebb was the only Logger pitcher to record a scoreless frame.

The Stingers pitching on the other hand was dominant. Logan Samuels (Montevallo) recorded 5.1 innings while giving up a run on 2 hits and 10 strikeouts. Michael Chavalier (Northern State) then pitched out of the bullpen, tossing 3.1 innings while surrendering an earned run.

Offense was few and far between for the Loggers. The lone bright spot was Ricky Reeth (Notre Dame), who finished his night 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Juan Acevedo (Elgin CC) also reached base twice.
