Logan Lombana promoted to Fort Myers; Moises Gomez joins from Extended Spring Training

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Minnesota Twins announce that RHP Logan Lombana has been promoted to Fort Myers (FSL) and RHP Moises Gomez will join the Kernels from Extended Spring Training. Jeremy Zoll, Twins Director of Minor League Operations, announced the move.

The Twins signed Gomez as a non-drafted free agent on April 9, 2014. He is a native of Valencia, Venezuela and spent 2017 at Elizabethton where he posted a 4-1 record and 4.99 ERA in 12 appearances (6 starts). In 48.2 IP, he allowed 49 hits and 34 runs (27 earned) with 51 strikeouts and 25 walks.

The Kernels begin the 2018 Midwest League season with a two-game series at Quad Cities on Thursday, April 5th. They kick off the 2018 MWL home schedule on Saturday, April 7th against Quad Cities. First pitch is scheduled for 5:05 PM with the gates opening at 4:00 PM.
