Lofquist Joins Sound Tigers on Two-Way Deal

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today forward Lukas Lofquist has agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way (AHL/ECHL) contract.

Lofquist, 20, spent last season with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League and recorded 30 points (17 goals, 13 assists) and 10 penalty minutes in 54 regular-season games. He also appeared in five playoff games, recording one goal and one assist. The rookie skater was selected in the first round (#56 overall) in the 2015 CHL import draft.

Prior to his time in Oshawa, Lofquist played four seasons of junior hockey in his hometown of Stockholm, Sweden with Djurgårdens IF J18 and J20. The 6'2, 192-pound left wing helped capture Sweden's J20 SuperElit Championship in 2014-15.
