LOWELL, Mass. - The Lowell Lock Monsters are proud to introduce a full slate of youth hockey programs for the 2005-06 season. These programs are designed to create awareness for the individual clubs, reward the players and raise money for the organizations. Last season, over $11,000 was raised by youth hockey teams through Lock Monsters youth hockey programs.

Youth Hockey Fundraiser Group Nights - Save money on tickets with 20 or more people, and design your group night to include the team name announced over the PA, introduction on the scoreboard, and getting the kids on the ice for Chuck-A-Puck. - A block of 100 or more tickets may be purchased and re-sold by the youth hockey team to raise funds.

The Pre-Game Program and Intermission Program - skate on the Tsongas Arena ice! - Pre-game features three 15-minute periods prior to Lock Monsters home games (based on availability). - The Intermission Program is a five-minute mini-game during the first intermission. - Minimum ticket purchases required for these programs.

Shots on Goal Program - Kids can collect pledges for every Lock Monsters shot on goal during a selected game to raise funds for their hockey organization.

Flex Pack Fundraiser - NEW IN 2005-06 - Perfect for the Hockey Family on the go! - Flex Packs are books of 10 vouchers good for one ticket to any Lock Monsters regular season home game. - For only $125, fans save $55 off the face value of the tickets, which can be redeemed in any combination of games (for example: two tickets each for five different games, or use all 10 on one night). - For every Flex Pack sold by a participating team, the Lock Monsters will give back $25 to the team.

Penalty-Free Hockey Program - rewards teams that play clean hockey! - Any youth team who plays an entire league game with no penalties can submit their penalty-free game stat sheet to the Lock Monsters office at (978) 453-8452 (attn: Zack Hoover). - Random drawing for each Lock Monsters game, the winning team gets a free ticket for every player. - Parents can purchase additional tickets for as well at a discounted rate of $10.

"The Lock Monsters are committed to helping every one of our local youth hockey programs," said Lock Monsters Youth Hockey Coordinator Zack Hoover. "Last season we were joined by 67 programs in the Merrimack Valley and beyond, and they proved that teaming up with the Lock Monsters can be a great benefit. We're excited to once again offer these programs in support of the youth hockey players in our communities."
