LOADENTHAL, SAUSVILLE - PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Sussex OF Batted .476; Quebec RHP Tossed Six Shutout Innings versus Worcester
DURHAM, NC - The Can-Am League announced today that Sussex Skyhawks OF Carl Loadenthal and Quebec Capitales RHP Dan Sausville have been named the Pointstreak Batter and Pitcher of the Week. The selection was made by Pointstreak, the official statistician of the Can-Am League.
In five games, Loadenthal batted .476 with one home run and 11 RBI. He also scored four runs, collected 10 hits, one of which was a triple, and had an on-base percentage of .520. In the 14-7 victory over the Worcester Tornadoes on Saturday, the veteran collected two hits and drove in four in a 2-for-4 effort. Loadenthal is currently hitting .341 with two home runs and 17 RBI.
Sausville tossed six shutout innings in the 4-0 win over the Worcester Tornadoes this past Monday. He allowed two hits and three walks while fanning four batters. On the season, the Schenectady, NY resident is 2-0 with a 0.69 ERA.
