
Lions Hire Éric Bélanger as Head-Coach

Trois-Rivières - The Trois-Rivières Lions are proud to announce the hiring of Éric Bélanger as Head Coach.
"Eric Bélanger embodies the philosophy of the Lions. Quebec-born, full of potential and motivation, which are essential characteristics to lead us to a Kelly Cup Championship. Eric has had an accomplished career as a player and I believe that experience will serve him well as he moves to the next level as our head coach. In two seasons with the Lévis Chevaliers of the Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League, Bélanger earned a record of 27 wins and 8 losses. He also held a winning record with the Québec Typhon Midget Espoir in 2017-18 (23 wins, 5 losses, 6 ties). Bélanger was named among the finalists for the 2019-20 Coach of the Year trophy in the Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League in addition to winning a championship with the Typhoon Midget Espoir in 2018-19.

2017-18 - Dodge Cup finalist with Typhon Midget Espoir
2015-16 - Regional finalist with the Jr Florida Panthers
In the NHL, Eric Bélanger collected 358 points in 820 games with the Kings, Hurricanes, Thrashers, Wild, Capitals, Coyotes, and Oilers.
