SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - The Mississippi RiverKings, the longest continually operating professional sports franchise in the greater Memphis area, and Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser have announced today that they have re-signed forward Linden Bahm. Terms and conditions were not released.

Bahm, 25, enters his second season with the RiverKings and his second as a pro in 2015-16. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound right wing became a major contributor for the RiverKings as a rookie in 2014-15. He played in 49 games for the RiverKings, compiling 35 points (15g, 20a), which was third in the SPHL among rookies. His 20 assists were tied for second among SPHL rookies. His five power-play goals tied for fourth among rookies and tied for most on the team while his five game-winning goals were most among rookies and one behind the league lead. He was one of three forwards named to the SPHL All-Rookie Team at the end of the season.

"'Bahmer' is coming off a real good rookie season where he continued to get better as the year went on," said Landmesser. "This being his second season I expect him to bring the same work ethic and energy every night and to continue to grow as a player."

Bahm started the season with the ECHL's Brampton Beast, where he was held without a point in four games. He joined the RiverKings on Nov. 21 and played the rest of the season with Mississippi, finishing fifth on the team in scoring. Bahm was better than a point-per-game player over the final 27 games of the regular season, scoring 29 points (12g, 17a). He had two five-game point streaks down the stretch.

"I'm glad to be back with the RiverKings," said Bahm. "I had a great experience last year and it is nothing but a great organization from top to bottom. With the success of last year's President's Cup Finals appearance, I hope we end this season with the outcome that the fans and I want, a President's Cup Championship."

The Mississippi RiverKings are proud to be the longest, continually operating sports franchise in the Memphis area, as they begin their 24th season in 2015. Ticket packages for the 24th season of RiverKings hockey start at just $24.75 by calling 662-342-1755. The home opener is scheduled for Friday, October 23 at the Landers Center and groups of 15 or more who purchase a group for that night will receive an identical group package to any other regular season game for free.
