Lights FC Adds One Final Test to 2018 Preseason Schedule, Traveling to Face Orange County SC

Ahead of its inaugural United Soccer League (USL) season, Las Vegas Lights FC has already tested itself in deep waters against a trio of Major League Soccer (MLS) clubs.

Now, the club is adding one more challenge between Soccer Spring Training and the start of the USL regular season later in March.

On Friday, March 9, Lights FC will travel to face USL Western Conference foe Orange County SC at Champions Soccer Stadium in Irvine, Calif., with kickoff scheduled for 11 a.m. PT.

The match will not be streamed online, though the team's final preseason showdown will feature free admission to the public.

Lights FC closed Soccer Spring Training at Cashman Field in Downtown Las Vegas last Saturday night in front of a crowd of 7,158. For its three Soccer Spring Training matches in February combined, Lights FC drew 23,594 fans to the club's new home to see them take on Montreal Impact, Vancouver Whitecaps FC and D.C. United.

Lights FC opens its regular season schedule on Saturday, March 17th on the road against Fresno FC, then the highly anticipated regular season home opener comes on Saturday, March 24th, at Cashman Field against in-state rival Reno 1868 FC. They will clash twice in the regular season with Orange County SC - Saturday, August 15th in Southern California, then on Wednesday, September 26th in Las Vegas.

Lights FC 2018 season tickets are also still on sale, starting at just $170 for the remaining 17 home-match schedule. Each season ticket purchased includes a free team jersey (valued at $80). Ticket for groups of 10 or more are also now on sale, starting at just $18 per ticket, with each ticket purchased including a free Lights FC scarf (valued at $20).
