Stockton Lightning News Release
Wednesday event at Delta Blood Bank to feature player appearances
STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Lightning has announced a scheduled player appearance at Delta Blood Bank in Stockton, Calif., beginning at 2:30 p.m. PT on Wednesday, April 12.
Among scheduled players to appear are QB Josh Wallwork, WR/DB Raymond Little, OL Chris Harris and DL Maurice Bowers.
The event commences a new partnership between the Lightning and Delta Blood Bank, which includes extensive marketing opportunities related to the Lightning. Players will appear in-person to help commence the landmark partnership, which creates special ticket-buying opportunities to fans who donate blood.
All blood donations at Delta Blood Bank in April will be honored with two free Lightning ticket vouchers to any game in the inaugural 2006 season (excluding April 29 vs. Bakersfield and July 29 vs. Central Valley), redeemable at Stockton Arena's ticket office for an upper premium or lower end-zone seat.
The Stockton Thunder (ECHL) recently finished a successful 2005-06 partnership with Delta Blood Bank, with as many as 6,000 donations in a month's span taken. The numbers parlayed into 90% redeemed ticket vouchers.
