Rockford RiverHawks News Release
LOVES PARK, Ill. - Thunderstorms brought baseball at Road Ranger Stadium to a halt once again on Sunday.
Play between the Rockford RiverHawks and visiting Fargo-Moorhead came to a halt with the RedHawks in front, 4-3, after 3½ innings. The teams got just a half-inning in - the game began Saturday and was suspended because of severe weather with the same score after three innings - and were unable to start Sunday's regularly scheduled game.
The RiverHawks have announced makeup dates - the suspended game will be resumed at 6:05 p.m. Monday, June 21, with the regularly scheduled game to follow. The other makeup will be as part of a doubleheader at 6:05 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16.
All tickets for Saturday and Sunday are considered rain checks, and will be honored for any remaining 2010 home game.
The RiverHawks are off on Monday. They resume play at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, when Joliet comes to town. It's a Two-for Tuesday, when tickets are available at two for the price of one.
