Rockford Lightning News Release

Rockford, IL- The Rockford Lightning needed just one more win to send the CBA Finals series back to the Sioux Falls Arena, but luck would not strike for the second consecutive playoff series. Sioux Falls got double-digit performances from four players to take Game Four and the CBA Championship by a score of 135-126.

Rockford led by a double-digit margin throughout most of the first half, and led 65-59 at the half. The Skyforce stormed back in the second half, outscoring the Lightning 76-61 to capture the victory. Rockford was led by Jermaine Walker for the second consecutive game, as he went 11-for-27 and was a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line to total up 30 points in the contest. Stais Boseman added a 29-point performance and Cordell Henry dished nine assists in the game for the Bolts. Jermaine Tate had yet another double double, scoring 10 points and hauling down 11 rebounds for Rockford in the loss. Sioux Falls had four players score over twenty points, including David Jackson, who went 8-of-14 from beyond the three-point arc and tallied up 35 points on the night. With the win, Sioux Falls wins the 2005 CBA championship, the second straight title for Skyforce head coach Dave Joerger, who won last year with Dakota.
