Stockton Lightning News Release
STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Lightning, in conjunction with Delta Blood Bank, have announced a Blood Drive will be held at Stockton Arena on Friday, June 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PT.
The event, free to the public and to be held in Stockton Arena's main concourse, will feature members of the Lightning and Shockwave dance team appearing throughout the event to sign autographs. All blood donors will receive a free voucher for two tickets to an upcoming Lightning home game (good for June 17, June 24 and July 15 only), redeemable at Stockton Arena's ticket office for an upper end-zone seat, and be entered in an autographed Lightning memorabilia giveaway contest.
The event continues an existing partnership between the Lightning and Delta Blood Bank, which includes extensive advertising and marketing opportunities related to the Lightning. Players appearing in-person have helped commence the landmark partnership, which creates special ticket-buying opportunities to fans who donate blood. To date, ticket voucher redemptions have experienced a turnover rate of 934 complimentary tickets redeemed.
The Stockton Thunder (ECHL) hockey team recently finished a successful 2005-06 partnership with Delta Blood Bank, with as many as 6,000 donations taken in a month's span. The numbers parlayed into 90% redeemed ticket vouchers.
