Rockford Lightning News Release

The Rockford Lightning game worn jersey auction on the official Lightning website will close today. Make sure that you have placed your bid by 12:00 P.M. (CST) in order to have a chance for the official game worn jersey of your favorite Lightning players.

It is not too late to make your bid, but hurry fast because the auction will begin closing at 12:00 P.M. (CST). Two jerseys will close every 15 minutes starting with the first two at noon today. Closing jerseys will be chosen at random, so make sure to check in and place your final bids. The final jersey will close at 2:30 P.M. (CST).

An e-mail will be sent to the winning bidder with a way to contact the Lightning to receive your jersey. E-mails will also be sent to each person that placed a bid on a particular jersey but did not win so that they will have the opportunity to make a bid on a different jersey before the next closing time.

The Lightning would like to thank all of their fans that have contributed to the success of this season's jersey auction. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to continue the tradition of Lightning basketball in Rockford next season and have another jersey auction in the future.

We would like to remind all fans that there are still a number of Roger Powell limited edition collector's box scores available. 500 box scores were printed and signed from the March 12th game in which Powell broke the 12-year old Lightning rookie scoring record with his 1,013th point of the season. Accompanied by an official press release describing the event, and a Lightning poster from the 2005-06 season, each Powell set will be sold at a cost of $10. Shipping and handling costs will be applied as necessary. Please call the Lightning office at 815-874-4232 or e-mail at lightningpr@hotmail.com for more information.
