Rockford Lightning News Release

The Rockford Lightning franchise is known in NBA circles as always having top-flight talent year after year. When the Milwaukee Bucks and the San Antonio Spurs were putting together their teams to represent them, two Lightning players were called. Henry will be playing for the Milwaukee Bucks at the Minnesota Summer League, which runs from July 15 through July 19. Lubeck will be playing for the Spurs at the Utah Rocky Mountain Revue, which runs July 15-22.

"I am trying to do my best," said Henry. "To play in the NBA has always been my goal, and if I play well I take one step closer to fulfilling my dream."

Last season Henry averaged 9.6 points and 6.3 assists in 20 games with the Lightning and was instrumental in the Lightning's push for the CBA Championship. Before playing for the Lightning, Cordell enjoyed a successful four-year career at Marquette University where he earned All-Conference USA Second Team honors in 2002 after his senior year with averages of 15.1 points and 3.3 assists. Brian was the durable and reliable players for the Lightning last year. Brian spent more time on the hardwood than any other Lightning player and averaged over 16 points per game and seven rebounds per game. It was Brian's three clutch free throws that catapulted the Bolts to Finals.

"The Lightning organization wishes Cordell and Brian nothing but the best." Said Lightning Coach Chris Daleo. "Both are great people and great players. I wish them both good luck."
