Sioux Falls Storm News Release

This week the Storm organization has chosen two women that we feel truly emulate the meaning of the word Storm. Over the last few months these women have worked very hard not only on the field but off the field to make this season a true success.

Our first Lightning Girl MVP is Kirsten. She grew up in Sioux Falls and danced in high school for the Highsteppers. She is currently working as a student loan customer service representative. She has been dancing since she was three, and entertaining crowds for years.

In Kirsten's spare time she enjoys shopping, dancing, and going to the movies. Kirsten's inspiration for dance is to express herself and to stay in shape. She says I couldn't picture myself not doing what I love to do. In her fifth season Kirsten has shown tremendous interest in community involvement and volunteering. Her great attitude at promotions, practices, and game days really proves that she is a true MVP.

Our next Lightning Girl MVP is Katrina. Katrina is from Sioux Falls and she has been dancing since she was four years old with Champion Cheer and Dance School. She is currently a student and an assistant dance coach at Lincoln High School.

In her spare time Katrina enjoys reading, listening to music, and exercising. Katrina's favorite thing about dancing at the Storm games is performing for all of the Storm fans. Katrina was chosen because she can always brighten up the day and is very helpful whether it is at practice or on the field.
