VIDSWAP.COM OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK-RB DARIUS FUDGE
There is an old adage that says, "RECORDS ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN." It's not often however, that a player breaks his own records in the same season. Wichita's Darius Fudge did just that in an effort that will be remembered for a long time by those who were lucky enough to witness it. Earlier this season, he set an IFL record by running for five touchdowns in a single game against Omaha. Against Alaska last weekend, Fudge surpassed that mark by finding the endzone seven times via the ground. He accounted for 42 points, which set another IFL record for a single game by a non-quarterback. In all, Fudge finished the night with 148 yards on just 18 carries, good for an average of 8.2 yards per carry. Armed with top 5 talent at Quarterback, Running back, and Wide Receiver the Wild seem poised to make a run at this years United Bowl Trophy.

VIDSWAP.COM DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK-DL JERMAINE BLAKELY
In a memorable cross-conference battle between El Paso and Rochester, it was the General defense and not there offense that was the difference. One player in particular stood out amongst his peers and dominated the line of scrimmage. Defensive Lineman Jermaine Blakely picked up a fumble late in the fourth quarter, as the Raiders were about to take a lead in the contest, and raced 48 yards for the game sealing touchdown. In addition Blakely contributed 3.5 tackles, 3 sacks, and two forced fumbles. With the offense and defense clicking, the Generals seem primed and ready for post season battle.

Knowing that they had to win and they would clinch the final playoff seed in the Lone Star Division, the Stampede Express played arguably their best game of the season. The game was back and forth throughout most of the contest against Corpus Christi, but the steady leg of Kicker Tommy Staples made sure the Hammerheads wouldn't get the upper hand. The San Angelo placekicker hit on 92% of his extra point attempts hitting 11 of 12. Those 11 points were the difference as San Angelo won 82-75 and set up a first round playoff match in Abilene.

The Week 18 IFL Game of the Week pits the Billings Outlaws against the Omaha Beef. The Outlaws are hoping to avenge their lone los of the season against the Beef way back on April 18th. Billings has been lights out since that little hiccup and is considered by many fans as the favorite to win this years United Bowl Trophy. QB Chris Dixon had thrown for an astounding 66 touchdown passes this season.
The Beef currently hold a ½ game lead over Bloomington for the top spot in the Central Division, however need another big win over Billings to guarantee a first round bye in the playoffs. Omaha is led by standout Quarterback James McNear. The dual threat signal caller has thrown 36 touchdown passes and ran for another 15 scores.
Kickoff is slated for this Saturday, July 11th at 7:05 PM.
