(Loveland, CO) - Colorado Lightning Head Coach Rafael Amaya and Acting General Manager Don Tumminia came to agreements earlier this week with Luis Dominguez and John Wells, making them the new assistant coaches for the PASL-Pro Arena Soccer team in Colorado.
Tumminia said, "We are fortunate to land two coaches with such complementary abilities to (coach) Amaya. Luis is very technically skilled and John is incredibly versed tactically."
Luis Dominguez, of Loveland, a native of Mexico, has over 31 years of soccer experience, playing professionally in Mexico for Club Leon, as well as with the Comets of the USISL. Dominguez is coaching Director of the Soccer Touch Academy, a soccer technical training school. Locally Dominguez has coached for Thompson Soccer Association in Loveland, Fort Collins Soccer Club and the Fort Collins Force Womens USL (United Soccer League) team.
John Wells, from Colorado Springs has national and international indoor and outdoor playing experience, including Kansas State University, league play in Germany, Pikes Peak Stampede and indoor with the MISL Wichita Wings. Wells founded John Wells Soccer School and most recently coached the Southern Colorado Stars of the PASL-Premier to the National Finals. John's passion for the game is stated in his motto, "First you must Love the Game."

The top-tier of the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) has four divisions: Western US, Western Canada, Eastern US, and Mexico. The Western Division includes the following teams: Stockton Cougars, CA., Wenatchee Fire, WA., SoCo Stars, and Colorado Lightning. The Lightning play 16 regular season games in total, eight at home at the Budweiser Events Center. Teams in the PASL will play six vs. six, including goalkeepers, on an indoor field 85 feet wide by 200 feet long during four 15 minute quarters (sudden death, if needed).
