Colorado Lightning News Release

(Loveland, CO) - Colorado Lightning has been enthusiastically preparing for the game against their instate rival, Denver Dynamite, for the entire season. "The players are pumped and ready to perform to the best of their ability," said Lightning's head coach Rafael Amaya. "It's the start of a good rivalry between two new area teams."

The Lightning put up a great fight last weekend against the Wenatchee Fire and came out on top in overtime. The team's confidence has swelled as a whole and a high intensity level is anticipated for this Saturday's game at the Denver Sports Center.

"We're looking forward to it," said Lightning player Luis Dominguez, Jr., "It will be a good game between two teams that need a win."

Saturday's game will be the first of four regular season games between the teams and a possible fifth matchup will be set up if Denver wins their upcoming Open Cup game against the Ft. Collins Fury, who also happen to be the PASL-Premier affiliate of the Lightning.

The Lightning are encouraging their fans to make the trip to Denver and have created ticket specials for traveling fans on their website, www.coloradolightningsoccer.com.
