Rockford Lightning News Release

The Lighting will be hosting another tryout camp on Saturday, September 24 at the Patriots Gateway Center. Coach Chris Daleo will be looking for more hardworking talent to add to the Lightning bench this season. Drills will be formed in the morning with scrimmages taking place in the afternoon. The Lightning Coaching Staff will be taking a look at all of the talent to see who might be able to contribute to the continuing success of the Lightning.

"Now with the draft over, it is time to hit the hardwood to find some winners," said Lightning Head Coach Chris Daleo. "We have had NBA representatives at the camps in the past and I hope that this one is just as good as the ones in the past."

On Sunday, September 25, the Lightning Front Office Staff will be coordinating the annual Lightning Dance Team tryouts. This year's tryouts will be held at the Patriots Gateway Center. Tryouts will be held from 9 AM to 3 PM. Judging the tryouts will be Lightning Head Coach Chris Daleo, Jim Stone from the WXRX Morning Store, Aaron Wilson from the WIFR Morning Show, Lightning General Manager Michael Neville, Jesse Abdenour, and other local Rockford celebrities.

"This is another exciting event for the Lightning," said Lightning General Manager Michael Neville. "The Dance Team plays a very important role in our game presentation and we are looking forward to seeing all of this year's candidates for the Dance Team."

The Lightning open their 20th season in the CBA on the road against Gary on November 18 before returning to the MetroCentre on November 20 to host the same Steelheads. Lightning Season Tickets are still available.
