Lexington Sporting Club News Release

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Lexington Sporting Club returns home Saturday to take on One Knoxville SC, kicking off at 7 p.m. inside Toyota Stadium.

The match will mark the first rematch for Lexington SC (2-5-1, 7 points) and the second leg of the rivalry with One Knox (4-3-2, 14 points), who claimed the initial meeting. Prior to the season starting, the two sides

officially announced a formal rivalry to be played out during the three regular season matches.

Lexington is coming off a 2-1 road loss to Richmond Kickers, in which the hosts controlled much of the possession and momentum. Don Smart converted a late penalty for Lexington, but it proved too late for a comeback.

One Knox has surged to third place in the league with four wins and two draws, most recently defeating Greenville Triumph SC by a 2-1 final. The club enters Saturday coming off two consecutive victories.
