
Lexington SC Hits the Road for Rivalry Match against One Knox SC

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Lexington Sporting Club is set to face off against One Knoxville SC on the road on Saturday. The match is set for 6:30 p.m. ET and will take place at Regal Soccer Stadium in Knoxville, Tn.
Lexington SC (1-0-1, 4 points) is coming off a 1-0 victory in league play over Chattanooga Red Wolves SC. The result kept the Boys in Green undefeated on the season. In between league play the club bowed out of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
One Knoxville SC (1-0-0, 3 points) opened its season with a 2-1 road win over Charlotte Ind. in North Carolina. The result saw the Tennessee outfit open its season undefeated before heading home for its home opener.

GAME NOTES
Lexington SC will be facing off with One Knoxville SC for the first time this season. Last season the pair met in three contests, with One Knox holding a 2-0-1 record over the Boys in Green. The results saw the squad from Tennessee claim the first ever Bourbon Barrel trophy.
Lexington SC has a new man in charge for the 2024 season with Darren Powell taking the reins for the club from interim head coach Nacho Novo. Sam Stockley, the club's first gaffer, remains in his sporting director role, overseeing all men's and boy's soccer with the club.
Cameron Lancaster caught fire in the club's U.S. Open Cup match, netting a brace to finally crack into the scoring column in Lexington. While it wasn't enough for the win, fans can get very excited about the potential of Lancaster now that he has broken through.
Lexington SC and One Knoxville SC are derby rivals in the USL League One. The winner of the aggregate total of the three games between the clubs will take with them bragging rights, a full-size whiskey barrel and a bottle of bourbon from a distiller located in the losing Club's locale.
Angelo Kelly-Rosales is the man to watch for One Knox. Being named to the USL League One Week Two Team of the Week - being the USL League One Week Two Player of the Week - Kelly-Rosales scored the game winner in One Knox's season opener in the 78th minute. If that isn't impressive enough, he also assisted the first goal of the night for Knoxville, contributing to both goals scored in the winning effort. Suppressing Kelly-Rosales will be integral for any potential Lexington victory.
