Green Bay Blizzard News Release
Lenorris Footman, a dual threat quarterback who threw for more than 4,000 yards and ran for nearly 2,000 during his collegiate career at Alcorn State University, has signed with the Green Bay Blizzard, head coach Corey Roberson announced.
Footman, who graduated cum laude from Alcorn State in 2018 with a degree in criminal justice, threw for 4,235 yards and ran for 1,963 for the Southwestern Athletic Conference NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) program. In a game against Southern University, he ran for 274 yards. During his senior season, he threw for 1,863 yards and 10 touchdowns, completing 60.3 percent of his passes. He added 452 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in nine games.
"Lenorris is the type of the quarterback who can really shine in our fast-paced game, because he's an accurate passer and a dynamic runner," Roberson said. "He's also extremely intelligent, as his academic success indicates, so reading defenses and making good decisions with the football will be a real strength."
During his career at Alcorn, Footman, who is 6-1, 181 pounds, was responsible for 58 touchdowns.
Following his final season of eligibility (2017) at Alcorn State, Footman played parts of a season for Kiel Baltic of the German Football League of American Football International. In his first game with Kiel Baltic, he had a 62-yard touchdown run and a touchdown pass.
Footman joins recent signee Justin Billiot, a 6-2, 210-pounder, as quarterbacks currently on the roster.
