Leinenkugel to Throw out the Brockton Rox First Pitch of Season

BROCKTON, MA- The Brockton Rox have announced that John Leinenkugel will throw out the first pitch for their home opener on June 4th. Leinenkugel is well known throughout the country for his iconic brewing company. The Rox are excited to partner with Leinenkugel to kick-start the 2015 season!

  John Leinenkugel recently made the trek to Boston from Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, which is the home of the nearly 150-year-old Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing company. Leinenkugel's arrival marked the return of the Summer Shandy with the start of the summer and baseball season.

  Earlier this year, John, along with his brothers Dick and Jake, were joined by former Red Sox world champion Kevin Millar to celebrate the start of the Summer Shandy in Florida and to watch some spring baseball. The Summer Shandy is a traditional Weiss beer brewed with a natural lemonade flavor that sets the tone for a more enjoying baseball viewing experience.

  This summer, there will also be the debut of the new Leinenkugel's Grapefruit Shandy. This is a traditional Weiss beer with natural grapefruit flavor and this treat goes perfectly with the Summer Shandy under the hot sun.

  The Jacob Leinenkugel brewing company is the seventh-oldest brewery in the U.S and was founded in 1867. Leinie's has consistently grown over the years and is now available across the United States, including in Boston.

  If you haven't found yourself on your way to purchase one of Leinenkugel's seasonal beers yet, then head over to Campanelli Stadium to crack one open with us on opening day, Thursday, June 4th at 7:05 p.m.
