Texas Legends News Release
FRISCO, TX, (Oct. 25, 2013) - The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), will once again host teams from the NBA D-League in a preseason event that provides six games in two days. The Legends' Preseason Jamboree will take place the week before the season starts at the Integrated Athletic Development facility in Carrollton.
The fourth annual event will see three games on Thursday, Nov. 14th and three games on Friday, Nov. 15th. With five teams in this year's event the Legends will play a split-squad format in four games total. The "Texas" squad will face Tulsa Thursday morning and Rio Grande Valley on Friday morning, while the "Legends" squad will face Erie Thursday afternoon, and Austin on Friday afternoon.
The Jamboree is planned one week out from the season to give teams the opportunity to evaluate players in a live-action environment prior to making their final roster cuts. Fresh out of training camp with new rosters, these preseason games give players a chance to experience the team's chemistry and make necessary adjustments early on.
All Jamboree games are open to the public and admission is free. The IAD is located at 2800 N. I-35E in Carrollton, TX.
The Legends will begin the regular season at home hosting the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Nov. 22nd at 7pm on Veracruz Court at Dr Pepper Arena. For more information or to purchase tickets visit www.TexLegends.com or call 214-469-0822.
