
Legends Complete Four-Game Sweep of BlueClaws with 2-1 Victory

FIRSTENERGY PARK (Lakewood, NJ) - The Lexington Legends complete a four-game sweep of the Lakewood BlueClaws to stay in first place of the Southern Division. The Legends took game four, 2-1 and are now 2.0 games ahead of the Greenville Drive.
The Legends plated their first run of the game in the top of the first inning. Nick Pratto reached on a single to centerfield then stole second base. Brewer Hicklen then doubled Pratto home and the Legends were on the board, 1-0.
In the top of the seventh inning, Cristian Perez hit a line drive to centerfield then moved to second when Marten Gasparini drew a walk. Rickey Aracena lined an RBI single to right field and the Legends extended their lead, 2-0.
Lakewood scored their only run of the game in the bottom of the eighth inning. Madison Stokes drew a leadoff walk. Jose Antequera then doubled to left field and Stokes scored. The BlueClaws were on the board, 2-1.
JC Cloney earned the victory for the Legends, pitching 7.0 shutout innings allowing five hits while walking two and striking out four. Janser Lara threw 1.0 inning of relief allowing one run on one hit while walking one and striking out two. Tad Ratliff was given the save, tossing 1.0 hitless inning walking one batter and striking out one.
Lexington will have a scheduled off day tomorrow, August 22. The Legends will then welcome in the Hagerstown Suns to Whitaker Bank Ballpark beginning August 23 at 7:05 p.m. Both pitchers are TBD.
