
Legends Acquire Javion Hamlet

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends have acquired guard Javion Hamlet off waivers.
Hamlet (6-4, 191, UNT) transferred to UNT for his final two seasons and earned Conference USA Newcomer of the Year, Tournament MVP, and Player of the Year. In 28 games (28 starts) as a senior, the Memphis, TN native averaged 15.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists and led the Mean Green to the Conference Championship and a historic win in the NCAA Tournament.
Hamlet began his rookie season overseas with ALM Evreux Basket in France, averaging 12.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in 4 games.
The Legends will open the regular season at home this Saturday, Jan. 8th hosting the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at 7:30pm CT. Hamlet will be available for that game and will wear #2. For tickets or information call 214-469-0822 or visit www.TexLegends.com.
