
Lees Earns Player of the Week Honors

Spirit forward Nick Lees has earned the Saginaw Spirit player of the week honors for the week ending January 18th, 2004. Lees scored four goals and added an assist in three games last week. Lees scoring included a hat trick in his hometown of Peterborough, Ontario. He has scored in 17 of the past 18 Spirit games going back to December 6th.
Lees is a 20 year old native of Peterborough, Ontario in his fifth season in the OHL. The Spirit acquired Lees in a trade with Barrie in October of 2003.
The Saginaw Spirit, Mid-Michigan's Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Franchise plays 34 home games from September to March. The OHL is part of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), which also includes the Western Hockey League (WHL) and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).
