
League's Top Teams Face Off On Dogs And Ice Night

(Odessa, TX) - Tuesday's game between the Odessa Jackalopes and Rapid City Rush is also the second-annual "Dogs and Ice Night" event. Fans can bring their dog to the hockey game with the purchase of a "Pooch Pass" by contacting the team's office at (432) 552-7825. There will be contests, prizes, and other entertaining options along with the Central Hockey League's two best teams meeting on the ice - the Jackalopes at 42-11-4 and Rush at 40-12-5.

Wednesday at Colorado, 6-3 Loss
The Eagles scored five third period goals as the Jacks 3-2 lead turned into a 6-3 loss. Three of Colorado's five goals came in a 2:15 span.
Friday vs. Corpus Christi, 5-3 Win
Jeff Pierce had a four-point night, including two goals in the third period, as Odessa completed a season sweep of the Corpus Christi IceRays by winning all seven of their meetings.
Saturday vs. Laredo, 5-4 (SO) Win
Dominic Leveille scored in the 11th round and Joel Martin made the shootout-winning save as the Jackalopes came back from a 4-2 third period deficit to pick up a win against Laredo.

The top two teams in the CHL meet for the third time this season, but the first time at the Ector County Coliseum. Rapid City (40-12-5) beat Odessa in a two-game set earlier this season at Rapid City.

The Jackalopes and Mavericks meet for the first time October 27th when Odessa won 8-1. Since then, the Mavericks have taken over fourth place in the Northern Conference. Missouri is led by head coach and Jackalopes franchise Hall of Fame member, Scott Hillman.
The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
