Macon Trax News Release

[Macon, Ga.]—With the inaugural WHA2 regular season coming to an end this weekend, the playoff race is sure heating up. Four teams are battling for three spots.

The Macon Trax can finish anywhere from second to fifth place in the standings. The Trax have three games left in their regular season schedule starting this Friday.

The Trax final two home games are Friday, Apr. 2 versus Orlando and Saturday, Apr. 3 versus Lakeland. Both games drop the puck at 7:35 pm. Saturday is "Fan Appreciation Night."

Friday night the Macon Knights coaches, players and Knightingales Dance Team will be in attendance. All tickets for Saturday's game are only $6. This includes glass seats and lower level seats. In addition to the great ticket price, the Trax will be giving away prizes to fans in attendance at almost every stoppage in play. The grand prize will be two airline tickets on Delta Airlines that contestants can win during the McLeod Auto Chuck-A-Puck.

In addition, after the game the Trax will auction off their home jerseys the players have worn all season. The post game auction will take place live in the Centreplex lobby immediately following the game versus the Loggerheads.

The Trax control their part of their playoff destiny, while they will need help from the other teams involved to gain home ice advantage in the first round. The Trax only need one win or one Orlando loss to clinch a playoff spot.

If the Trax win their final three games and Miami and Alabama win only two of their remaining four games, the Trax will claim second place in the WHA2. Macon has won nine of their last 10 games and earned points in 12 of their last 15 games.
