League-Leading LouCity Visits Charleston for Match Day 11

Louisville City FC News Release
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville City FC (6-1-3, 21 points) travels to Charleston, S.C., on Saturday to take on the Charleston Battery (5-2-3, 18 points) in a rematch of 2015's Eastern Conference semifinals.
With it, LouCity takes an eight-game USL unbeaten streak and a nine-game unbeaten streak in all competitions into Saturday's matchup with Charleston. Here are a few things to watch as LouCity hit the road once again.
THREE THINGS TO WATCH
Rested and Ready to Go: For LouCity's game against Richmond on May 21, there were some tired legs on the field. Because the Club played a hotly contested U.S. Open Cup game against Detroit City last Wednesday, coach James O'Connor's hands were tied as far as selecting players who were still recovering from the Cup match that required penalty shootouts to settle. After returning from Richmond, LouCity players have had a week to recover, so expect to see an energized squad on Saturday.
'D up: Louisville City's defense has been fantastic over the past four games. O'Connor's side has kept consecutive clean sheets in USL action and have conceded an average of less than a goal per match in the league. Defenders Ben Newnam, Sean Reynolds, Tarek Morad, Conor Shanosky and Kyle Smith - who leads the team in minutes played as a rookie - have all been solid. Goalkeeper Greg Ranjitsingh has been a brick wall in front of goal, conceding only one goal while on the field, which was a penalty kick against Pittsburgh immediately after being inserted into the game. LouCity will need to keep up its stellar defensive form against a Charleston attack that has scored nine goals in its past five games.
Road Warriors: Saturday's match will be LouCity's fourth game on the road in its past five. Although O'Connor and his team always prefer to play at home in front of their own supporters, playing on the road hasn't been a problem for the squad thus far in 2016. LouCity has brought a total of 14 points home through six away matches. LouCity will need to be on top of its game once again on the road against a Charleston team that doesn't often drop points at home.
Louisville City continues on the road to face the Charleston Battery on May 28 (7:30 p.m.), followed by an Open Cup fixture with Indy Eleven on June 1 (7:30 p.m.).
LouCity returns to Slugger Field on June 11 to host Wilmington Hammerheads (7:30 p.m.).
