
Law Announces Pass, Run & Kick Contest

LAREDO, Texas â The Laredo Law will be hosting a Pass, Run & Kick contest on Saturday, June 26th at Shirley Field. The contest is open to children between the ages of 7-12, with six separate age divisions. Contact Nicole Thompson with the Law at (956)-523-6586 or the local Boys & Girls Club at (956)-723-5372 for more information.
The six age divisions are: 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 with boys and girls competing separately. Age is determined as of the day of event.
"I am very excited about this program," said Law Director of Community Relations Nicole Thompson. "I am excited to get the Law players out there helping with this event. This is something positive for the children of Laredo to get excited about during the summer months."
All contestants must fill out the Entry Form/Release of Liability obtained from their local Boys & Girls Club facility. The top five scores in all age divisions from Round One on Saturday, June 26th, will advance to the Laredo Law Pass, Run, & Kick Championship held at the Laredo Entertainment Center on Friday, July 9th, prior to the Law game against the Arkansas Twisters.
All participants must show proof of age at all levels of competition. Failure to provide a birth certificate or religious document (baptismal record) will result in that participant being ineligible to compete.
Participants may register at any Boys & Girls Club of Laredo or at Shirley Field on the day of the competition. Participants must be present at scheduled start time in order to compete.
Round One competition of the Pass, Run & Kick competition will take place at Shirley Field on Saturday, June 26th. Registration begins at 8 a.m. There is a $10 entry fee to participate. With the entry fee athletes will receive a certificate of participation signed by Laredo Law head coach Scot Maynard and one ticket to attend the Law versus Arkansas Twister game on July 9th.
Each participant will be allowed one pass, one run and one kick as part of his/her competition. Scores are based on distance, speed and accuracy. No football cleats are allowed, all participants must wear soft soled gym shoes.
FAMILY FOUR PACKS
The Law is offering four tickets for forty dollars for every remaining home game.
LAW ON THE RADIO
