LANCASTER, Calif. - Ramon Laureano hit two doubles and drove in three, but the JetHawks fell behind big early and Rancho Cucamonga took their second straight from Lancaster, 10-6 on Tuesday night at The Hangar.

Three home runs for the Quakes (9-4) in the second inning highlighted a six-run frame. Yusniel Diaz hit a three-run shot, his second long ball in as many nights. Julian Leon and Erick Mejia each had solo blasts. Lancaster (4-6) starter Elieser Hernandez (0-2), who tossed a perfect first inning on just nine pitches, was knocked out during the big second by Rancho Cucamonga.

The Quakes made it 10-0 with a single run in the top of the fifth, but the JetHawks did not go away quietly. They put up three in the bottom of the fifth, two coming on a double by Nick Tanielu and the other on Drew Ferguson's RBI single.

Laureano brought the JetHawks closer with a two-run double in the sixth. His second two-bagger came in the eighth and brought home the final Lancaster run of the night. Bobby Boyd had a pair of singles out of the leadoff spot for the JetHawks and scored two runs. Jason Martin also scored twice.

Grant Holmes (2-0) picked up the win for Rancho Cucamonga, walking five and striking out six over five innings of work. Ryan Thompson pitched 3.2 scoreless innings out of the Lancaster bullpen and Riley Ferrell tossed a scoreless ninth, striking out two.

The Quakes now have eight home runs and 29 hits in the first two games of the series. The JetHawks went 5-for-19 with runners in scoring position and left 10 on base, five coming in the first three innings.

The JetHawks and Quakes conclude their three-game series tomorrow night at The Hangar. Evan Grills (0-0) will start for Lancaster against Tommy Bergjans (1-0). First pitch is at 6:35 p.m.
