Atletico Ottawa News Release
The 2023 Canadian Premier League Season is a little over a month away and Atlético Ottawa kicks off their preseason with their annual Training Camp in Spain.
The team flew late February and have arrived in Segovia, Spain where they will be training at parent club's Atlético de Madrid's facility in Los Ángeles de San Rafael. The camp began in the with a team meeting in the morning. where Coach Carlos Gonzàlez spoke about the team's identity and expectations heading into this year. This included a team exercise where each player was given a pen and paper and was instructed to write down a few words that they believed represented Atlético Ottawa's core values.
Later on in the evening, the team headed to the facility where they got a quick work out in before hitting the pitch for the first time as they got acclimated to the cold weather and higher altitude. For the new additions to the squad, it was their first time seeing the incredible view.
