Medford, OR: July 20, 2013. Gems starter Nick Sabo (Long Beach State University) scattered eight hits and gave up only two earned runs, but Medford scored the eventual winning run in the 7th inning on a suicide squeeze bunt and defeated Klamath Falls 3-2 on Saturday night at Harry and David Field in Medford, OR.
Gems batters only managed five hits on the night as relief pitcher Brandon Williams (Lane Community College) picked up the Rogues win in relief, improving to 3-3 on the year. Sabo took the loss for the Gems, moving to 4-2 overall in 2013. The Gems record falls to 17-19 on the year and Medford improved to 19-19 with their second straight win in the three game series.
