Brazos Valley Bombers News Release

Bryan-College Station, TX (June 14, 2015) - Three wins in a row now for the Bombers coupled with their second sweep of the Victoria Generals this season, pushes the back-to-back TCL Champions' record to 10-2, giving them a two and a half game lead over second place.

The Bombers, winning by a score of 3-2, benefitted from a solid season debut by Callaway Kirkpatrick, who pitched 6 and one-third innings, only allowing two runs. Winning pitcher C.J. Gregory came on in relief of Kirkpatrick and gave the Bombers an inning and two-thirds without allowing a hit to push his record to 4-0. Brandon Pennington recorded his second save of the season.

Catcher Henri Lartigue was again the spark that lit the fuse in the Bombers offense, going 2-3 with a double and scoring two of the three Bomber runs. Matt Hilston drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the 8th before Ryan Mose and Pennington combined to shut the door on the Generals in the 9th.

Tonight was Seniors Free Sunday with Baseball Bingo, both presented by Brazos Bingo, as well as Date Night, sponsored by Petal Patch. The Bombers have a day off before traveling to the Woodlands on Tuesday to take on the Strykers before returning home for a two-game homestand on Thursday and Friday June 18-19 against the Texas Marshals.

Thursday night will again be Thirsty Thursday at the ballpark, thanks to Western Beverages, as well as Guy's Night, presented by Sports Clips. Friday night will be Back to the Future Night with special Back to the Future-themed jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game, thanks to American Sleep Center. That night will also be the third Friday Night Fireworks Spectacular of the season, presented by Halcón Resources. First pitch for both games will be at 7:05 pm.
