St. Cloud Norsemen News Release
MINOT, ND - A offensive second period for the Minot Minotauros was too much for the St. Cloud Norsemen to overcome as the team would fall 4-1 on the road on Saturday night.
After a back-and-forth opening 20 minutes of play resulted in a scoreless game, Minot took the lead midway through the second period Joey Moffat found the back of the net on the powerplay. Less than two minute later, the Minotauros would add a second goal from leading scorer Joseph Harguindeguy for the 2-0 lead.
In the third, Kaiden Scott scored his second goal on the weekend to extend the Minot lead to 3-0.
With the Norsemen net empty and a 6-on-3 powerplay backing St. Cloud, Jack Suchy scored his second of the season to close the score to 3-1.
An empty-net goal from Carter Korpi would solidify the 4-1 decision.
After the loss, the Norsemen fall to 0-4-0-0 on the season.
The Norsemen will return to action on Friday, October 30 at home against the Bismarck Bobcats at 7:10 PM. Mark Shelley will broadcast the game live on the Lyon Sheet Metal and Heating Norsemen Network on HockeyTV.
