Last Second Heroics Keep the Gold On Top

The Gold (7-2, 38 points) were never in doubt in Sunday's thrilling 35-31 come-from-behind-win against the Toronto Arrows (4-5, 24 points) in the final moments. Down 31-28 in the 70th minute, NOLA retained possession inside their own half of the field and marched into Toronto territory for the final phases of the game. After a slew of forward punches that couldn't crack Toronto's defense, Ignacio Dotti finally touched the ball down for the game-winning try in the 79th minute, as JP Eloff's conversion took the game to full time.

Next Game: Utah Warriors @ NOLA Gold The league-leading NOLA Gold (7-2, 38 points) are back at home against the Utah Warriors (1-6-1, 10 points) this Saturday, April 13, at Gold Stadium. The Gold have scored 30 or more points in seven of their nine games this year and look to continue their offensive dominance back at home. NOLA will lean on Vice Captain JP Eloff, the league's second-leading scorer (98 points) and Tristan Blewett, the MLR's second-leading try-scorer (7). The last time the Gold faced off against the Warriors was in week 5 at Zions Bank Stadium in a snowy battle that resulted in the Gold leaving victorious 21-19 off of rookie Nick Feakes' hat trick. Kick off is slated for 2 p.m. at Gold Stadium. It will be played live on ESPN+ and at 6 p.m. on CST.
