DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Andrew McKay's 11-yard touchdown pass to Damian Daniels with 27 seconds left gave the Columbus Lions a 45-42 victory over the Daytona Beach Thunder in a World Indoor Football League game before 1,447 at DBCC Public Broadcasting Field 15 at the Ocean Center Monday night.
The Thunder had a chance to tie it at the buzzer, but Carlos Ojdea's field goal attempt was blocked. Daytona Beach had taken a 42-37 lead on Bo Bartik's 20-yarder to Cory McKinney with 3:09 left.
McKay overcame four interceptions to finish with 178 yards and five touchdowns.
Bartik had 260 yards and five touchdowns, four to McKinney.
