Daytona Beach Thunder News Release
ORLANDO -- Former Daytona Beach Thunder defensive back Nick Allison was released by the Orlando Predators Friday.
Allison was competing with Micheaux Robinson, Floyd Young, Ryan Bowers and Rayshun Reed for one of the three or four open roster spots at defensive back.
"Nick's a solid player who just got caught up in a numbers game," Predators head coach Jay Gruden said. "Hopefully he'll have a chance to continue his career in the Arena Football League or with some other professional league.
The move came too late for the Thunder to sign and activate Allison for Monday's game against the Columbus Lions.
