LOVES PARK, Ill. - Baseball fans are running out of time to take advantage of the Rockford RiverHawks' specials on 2008 ticket plans.
Through the end of the year, fans can purchase a 2008 full-season or partial-season ticket plan for a discounted rate. Mini-plans start at just $40 for a five-game Hall of Fame plan, which includes all five Cubs Hall of Fame bobblehead doll giveaways; 10-game plans start at $75 and 20-game plans are available for as little at $187. Season tickets for the full 51-game home schedule start at $408. Each plan guarantees fans the same great seat for each night on their plan, including high-demand nights such as Opening Night on May 21.
Fans strapped for cash at the holidays don't need to dig deep right away. A $10 deposit will reserve your seats, with the remainder payable before the season.
All discount and deposit offers expire Dec. 31. The Road Ranger Stadium box office is open Thursday and Friday. In addition, the box office will be open on all non-holidays between Christmas and New Year's Day.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 16th season in 2008. Advertising and season-ticket information is available by calling the box office at (815) 885-2255. Most games are broadcast live on WNTA (1330 AM) and the internet.
