Las Vegas Gladiators to hold pair of open tryouts

Las Vegas, NV, September 8, 2004 – The Las Vegas Gladiators of the Arena Football League, announced the dates for their Las Vegas area open tryouts. The Gladiators will hold two open tryouts in Las Vegas prior to the 2005 Arena Football season, the first being on Friday, September 24, at 6:30 p.m. at the All-America Park at the corner of Alta and Buffalo.

The second tryout will take place on Tuesday, November 30 at a still to be determined location.

The Gladiators are looking for players at all positions and each athlete will be required to participate in offensive and defensive drills. Players will complete at one of the following positions: QB, WR/DB, OL/DL or FB/LB.

Gladiators’ Head Coach Ron James and his coaching staff will be on hand to evaluate all players at the tryout camp.

All participants will be required to sign a waiver and pay a $50.00 cash only registration fee. Players should dress in workout gear and have the appropriate shoes. Pads will NOT be worn. There is NO pre-registration. Players should arrive one hour early to register.

The workout will consist of running the 40-yard dash, 20-yard short shuttle, Broad Jump and L-Agility test. Players will then go through position drills and one-on-one drills, both offensively and defensively.
