LAREDO, Texas - The Laredo Bucks took four of a possible six points this past weekend. The Bucks hammered the Corpus Christi Rayz 8-0 on Friday night at the Laredo Entertainment Center. On Saturday night the teams played in a rematch in Corpus Christi and the Bucks shutout the Rayz again, this time by the score of 3-0. Sunday the Bucks fell 3-1 to the Oklahoma City Blazers back at the LEC. Laredo is 27-11-3 with a Southern Conference and Southeast Division best 57 points. The Bucks are home this Friday and Saturday night against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. Face off both nights set for 7:30 p.m. Fans who purchase a ticket to both Friday and Saturday night's game get a free ticket to the Wednesday, February 8th, game also against Rio Grande Valley. UPCOMING PROMOTIONS

- The Bucks are home this Friday and Saturday night against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. Face off both nights set for 7:30 p.m. Fans who purchase a ticket to both Friday and Saturday nights game, get a free ticket to the Wednesday, February 8th game also against Rio Grande Valley. Friday night is Organ Donor Awareness night, plus there is a post-game skate. On Saturday there is a car show starting at 4 p.m. in the LEC parking lot. Come see hot rods, low riders, corvettes and more. In addition the Bucks will wear President's Day jerseys on Saturday that will be auctioned off after the game. Plus fans can enjoy another post-game skate on Saturday.

- RIO GRANDE VALLEY KILLER BEES -

2005-06: The Bucks are 4-3-2 against the Killer Bees. Laredo lost 4-2 on 10/30 at the Dodge Arena. Bobby Davis had two goals for Rio while Steve Weidlich had both goals for the Bucks. The Bucks rebounded with a 4-2 win on 11/04 at the Dodge, powered by a pair of James Hiebert goals. The Bucks lost 5-4 in overtime on 11/19 as Matic Kralj had the game winner in sudden death at the Dodge. Laredo rebounded the next night and posted a 4-1 win over the Killer Bees at the LEC on 11/20. The Bucks beat the Killer Bees 5-2 on 11/30 at the LEC. The Bucks fell 4-3 in Rio Grande Valley on 12/11. The Bucks scored three goals in a span of 1:06 in the third period to tie the game, but gave up the game winner late to Bill Newson. The Killer Bees beat the Bucks 2-1 on 12/17 at the LEC. All three goals in the game came on the power play. On 12/18 the Bucks score a pair of third period goals to force the game to overtime, but fell 5-4 when Aaron Phillips scored the game winner in sudden death. On 12/27 three different players scored as the Bucks beat the Killer Bees 3-1.

2004-05: Laredo was 7-4-0 against Rio Grande Valley. On 12/17/04 the Bucks scored a CHL record tying seven power play goals in an 8-2 win over the Killer Bees at the LEC.

All-time: Laredo is 20-9-4 against the Killer Bees, outscoring Rio Grande Valley 121-83. The Bucks are 9-7-3 all-time at the Dodge, and 11-2-1 all-time at the LEC.

GOING -TO-THE-SHOW

- The Bucks have had two former players called up to the NHL in the past two weeks. Forward Petr Taticek, who played in Laredo last season, was called up to the Florida Panthers on 01/20. Dave Gove, who played for the Bucks in the 2002-03 season, was called up by the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday.

BACK-TO-BACK WHITEWASHES

- The Bucks shutout Corpus Christi 8-0 on Friday, then shutout the Rayz again 3-0 on Saturday night.

BACK-TO-BACK WHITEWASHES PART TWO

- The Bucks have posted back-to-back shutouts for the second time this season. Laredo shutout Lubbock 4-0 on 11/23 then blanked Odessa 3-0 on 11/25.

APPROACHING TWO THIRDS POLE

- The Bucks have played 41 games out of the 64 game CHL regular season.

CURRENT WINNING STREAK

- The Bucks had won five consecutive games, a streak that began on 01/14 in Memphis with a 6-1 victory and ended with a 3-1 loss to Oklahoma City this past Sunday. This is the third time this season the Bucks have won five straight (11/20-11/30 and 12/23-01/06).

SEASON HIGH

- The Bucks 8-0 victory over Corpus on Friday night was their largest of the season. The previous largest margin of victory was five goals in a 6-1 win at Memphis on 01/14. The largest margin of victory in franchise history was 10 goals in an 11-1 win over Lubbock on 01/20/2004.

SEASON HIGH PART DEUX

- The Bucks set a season high with eight goals on Friday in an 8-0 win over Corpus Christi. The previous high was seven goals in an 8-7 loss in Amarillo on 10/22.

MULTIPLE GOAL SCORERS

- The Bucks have played five games against Corpus Christi this season. In all five games the Bucks have had a multiple goal scorer. Ladislav Kouba and Brent Cullaton each scored a pair of goals Friday night in an 8-0 win over Corpus Christi. Chris Grenville scored two goals on Saturday in a 3-0 win over the Rayz.

- Laredo has out shot their last six opponents and 12 of the last 13.

GOAL DIFFERENTIAL

- The Bucks lead the CHL with a plus 50 goal differential, having scored 155and allowed 105.

- 01/29/06 - SUNDAY - vs. OKLAHOMA CITY - The Laredo Bucks fell 3-1 to the Oklahoma City Blazers on Sunday night at the Laredo Entertainment Center in front of 5,250 fans. Blazers goalie Sean Connors was outstanding as he made 31 saves and ended the Bucks season high tying five game win streak. Despite the loss, the Bucks took four of six points in the three-in-three weekend. Laredo is 27-11-3 with a Southeast Division and Southern Conference best 57 points. David Lemanowicz allowed three goals on 25 shots and took the loss to fall to 11-3-1. It was his first loss on home ice; he is now 10-1-0 at the LEC. Connors was terrific in net as he stopped 31 of 32 shots and got the win to improve to 18-10-2. FINAL SCORE Oklahoma City 3, Laredo 1.

- 01/28/06 - SATURDAY - @ CORPUS CHRISTI - The Laredo Bucks got a pair of goals from forward Chris Grenville and 21 saves from goalie Dov Grumet-Morris as they shutout the Corpus Christi 3-0 at American Bank Center in front of 4,130 fans. At least 100 Bucks fans made the trip and they saw Laredo post their second straight shutout against Corpus Christi in as many nights. The Bucks tied a season high with their fifth straight game. Corpus Christi suffered its fourth straight shutout overall and saw their goalless stretch extend to 242:45. Laredo improved to 27-10-3 with a Southeast Division and Southern Conference best 57 points. Grumet-Morris stopped 21 shots to post his third shutout of the season and improve to 27-10-3. Grumet-Morris is tied for the CHL lead in shutouts, along with teammate David Lemanowicz. Brent Zelenewich allowed three goals on 22 shots and fell to 6-10-1. FINAL SCORE Laredo 3, Corpus Christi 0.

- 01/27/06 - FRIDAY - vs. CORPUS CHRISTI - The Laredo Bucks scored a season high eight goals in an 8-0 shutout of the visiting Corpus Christi Rayz in front of 5,745 fans at the Laredo Entertainment Center on Friday night. Forwards Ladislav Kouba and Brent Cullaton each scored a pair of goals as the Bucks picked up their fourth straight win. The Rayz were shutout for the third consecutive game. Laredo improved to 26-10-3 with a Southeast Division and Southern Conference best 55 points. David Lemanowicz stopped all 28 shots he faced to record his third shutout of the season and improve to 11-2-1. Lemaonwicz is tied for the CHL lead in shutouts. Brent Zelenewich played the first period in net, allowing three goals on 12 shots, and took the loss to fall to 6-9-1. Mark Cairns finished up in net, allowing five goals on 21 shots. FINAL SCORE Laredo 8, Corpus Christi 0.
