Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release
Hidalgo, Texas --- The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and Presidio Shopping Plaza will host the first annual Killer Bees Fan Fest on Saturday, February 11, from 1-5 pm. The entire Killer Bees team and Sir Sting-A-Lot will be helping the tenants of the plaza with their daily work like washing dogs, offering fashion and wine advice, styling hair and serving hot dogs. They will also be giving away a special edition Killer Bees ceiling fan that will be signed by the whole team. There will be a puck shot game set-up and prizes given away at some of the stores for children. Anyone who purchases something at one of the Presidio Shopping Plaza stores can bring their receipt to the Money Machine for an opportunity to step inside and win Presidio Bucks to keep on shopping!
As part of Fan Fest, the Killer Bees and United Blood Services will also be hosting a blood drive from 1-4 p.m. at the plaza. Everyone who donates will get a picture with a Killer Bee and other gifts from United Blood Services.
"It's not often we get a Saturday off in February," said Killer Bees General Manager Grant Buckborough. "This is a fun way for the players to interact with our fans in a different environment that will stress the word fun. It's a good way for us to say thank you to the best fans in the CHL!"
A detailed list of which players will be working where will be available at Fan Fest. Presidio Shopping Plaza is located on North 10th Street and Martin in McAllen.
