Lansing Ignite Announces USL League One Schedule

LANSING, Mich. - USL League One today announced the complete schedule of matches as part of its inaugural 2019 regular season, with 10 teams set to play 28 matches each from March 29-Oct. 6 before the League One Playoffs kick off the weekend of Oct. 11-13. The 2019 USL League One regular season schedule was approved by the board of governors at the 2018 Winter Summit in Tampa, Florida, on Dec. 4.
Lansing Ignite is scheduled to play its first match on Saturday, March 30 against the Richmond Kickers in Richmond, VA, with the inaugural home match scheduled for Saturday, April 13 against the Richmond Kickers at Cooley Law School Stadium.
"The release of the schedule is another exciting step as we get ready to kick off the 2019 season in the USL League One," said Vice President / General Manager Jeremy Sampson. "We begin the season with two matches on the road, but the planning has already begun to Ignite the entire city of Lansing for our first home match, against Richmond on April 13th."
With a finalized league schedule, Lansing Ignite team officials will now complete the home match schedule with three additional friendly matches. These will include matches against other teams outside of the USL League One.
"We are eager to solidify the schedule of friendly matches to enhance our schedule with three additional opportunities to support the team, we are looking at many different options to bring teams to Lansing," said Sampson. "Once those matches are confirmed in the coming months, we will release those details and complete our inaugural home schedule."
Season tickets are available online now, with a $50 deposit being accepted to reserve priority seats. Seating priority will be determined by date orders are placed. Season tickets will start at $255 per ticket, which will include a total of 17 home matches, 14 League One matches and three friendlies. The promotional schedule for the 17 home matches will be announced in the coming weeks.
Team officials are signing players to the team, with practice set to begin in February 2019. Additional players signings and season announcements are still forthcoming. The complete schedule can be found online, along with more information on the team at www.LansingIgnite.com.
