LANSING, Mich. - Lansing Ignite FC will look to clinch home-field advantage for the team's USL League One semifinal this Saturday, as LIFC faces off against Forward Madison FC for the third and final time this regular season at 3 p.m. ET from Cooley Law School Stadium.

Lansing will clinch home-field advantage for its semifinal match of the 2019 USL League One Playoffs should the team win or tie against Madison. If Lansing loses on Saturday, the team can still clinch home-field advantage if Greenville Triumph SC fails to win against South Georgia Tormenta FC at 7 p.m. ET that same day.

If Lansing hosts the semifinal, the match will kick off at 7 p.m. ET from Cooley Law School Stadium on Oct. 12.

"I think it will be fun," LIFC Head Coach Nate Miller said. "These are the occasions we want to play in. For us, this is the start of the playoffs because we're playing against a desperate team that has everything to lose, so we know the feeling that this game is going to have."

Forward Madison FC currently sits in fourth in the USL League One table, with a record of 11-9-7. Forward Madison FC is owned by Steve Schmitt, Vern Stenman and Conor Caloia, who also own Big Top Baseball and the Madison Mallards, and Jim Kacmarcik, the owner of the Lakeshore Chinooks and a minority owner of the Milwaukee Bucks. Forward Madison launched as Madison's first professional soccer team by Big Top Soccer on May 17, 2018, and it was the first time in 15 years that Wisconsin would have a pro soccer team. Head Coach Daryl Shore spent 15 seasons as an assistant coach in Major League Soccer with the Chicago Fire and Real Salt Lake.
